Live your life centered, safe, and well.

Let me help you solidify your sense of self, realize your
potential, and find your way “home.”

Navigating Life’s
Challenges

You deserve to live your life feeling centered, safe, and well. You don’t have to meditate for hours every day, become a yogi master, or spend years in therapy to achieve this. Let me provide you with a safe space to explore your feelings, identify your strengths, become comfortable with yourself, and find peace.

Meet Ann, your partner in your pursuit of peace, balance, and serenity.

About Me

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with more than 25 years of experience in various mental health settings, child and family trauma response programs, and non-profit program management and administration. Areas of expertise and interest include vicarious trauma/compassion fatigue, work-related stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and role changes through life stages. I have experienced the difficult reality of loving and living with someone who is struggling with mental health and/or addiction concerns.

My Strengths

My greatest strength is my ability to empathize and engage with my clients. I listen without interruption or judgment. I gain clarity by reflecting on what I have heard and offer acceptance and validation. I share practical tools for achieving desired outcomes. I am skilled at “gently challenging” when needed, allowing clients to consider other points of view and gain new perspectives.

My Clients

  • First responders, mental health clinicians, health care providers, and other helping professionals exposed to trauma in their daily work life.
  • Caregivers, partners, family members and friends of loved ones struggling with mental health or substance use disorders
  • Professionals experiencing moral or ethical distress or other work-related stressors
  • Individuals navigating grief or loss related to divorce, death, or family role changes

I Have Experience With…

Vicarious Trauma/Compassion Fatigue

Learn techniques to identify and mitigate the effects of repeated exposure to trauma.

Exposure to Substance Abuse/Mental Health Concerns
Address the multiple and complex dynamics related to loving and living with someone struggling with mental health and/or substance abuse concerns.
Work-related Stress

Cultivate skills to navigate the daily pressures related to your work environment, including interpersonal dilemmas, communication across all levels of your organization, and addressing moral distress in the workplace.

Living with Anxiety

Become aware of your physiological make-up, identify your emotional triggers, and develop coping skills to maximize your ability to function in this complex world.

Coping with Loss
Recognize and address the multiple emotions related to grief after the loss of a loved one, the disintegration of a relationship, or a change of role in one’s personal or professional life.

Practice Principles

My intent is to have you feeling relief from your very first session. You will know that you are understood, that you have a partner in this work, and that there is hope. I listen, and reflect, providing guidance and practical tools for you to incorporate into your daily life to reclaim a sense of control and well-being.

My practice is person-centered and strengths-based, working with each client to explore their concerns, values, strengths, and areas for growth. Utilizing concepts from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Rapid Resolution Therapy, and psychodynamic theory, I offer my clients new perspectives and practical tools to establish balance, acceptance, and strength. Via specialized training in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and CE-CERT (Components for Enhancing Career Experience and Reducing Trauma), both of which utilize cognitive and physiological techniques to assist in regulating the nervous system, I help clients understand and modulate their anxiety.

My Goal

I want to help you gain strength and develop resilience while experiencing life’s challenges. Together, we’ll navigate your path to balance and wellness.

You are not alone, and there is nothing wrong with you. We will work together to get you where you want to be. Let me help you be your best self.
